Bowl with Ledge
Rim of the bowl has a ledge which overhangs the bowl interior.
It's pretty rare that I make traditional bowls and when I do, I still feel the need to give them my own little flare.
I love over-hanging parts, like the rim on this piece.
It's one of the things that you can do with wood, that would be difficult in other mediums, like clay, though not impossible.
This piece is debuting during Springfling 2021.
Some of my pieces are on display at Ottersburn gallery, where they will be displayed in the gallery and open to the public between May 29th – June 6th.
I got a sneak peak and there's some beautiful work by other local artists and makers. Make sure to get along to see some great work.
